Post-Ride Bike Maintenance

How To Make Simple Habits of Cleaning Your Bike

Us mountain bikers are rough on our gear, so it's best to get into a maintenance routine that's simple and effective to make your bike parts run smooth for a long time. Back in the day, I used to wash my bike after every ride, but soon realized it's not good for the bike and over time can do more damage than good.

Now that I'm more mature (debatable), I've come up with a habit of taking care of the important parts after every ride.

TOOLS:

- Shop Towel: https://amzn.to/2N8Iz2u
- Brush: https://amzn.to/2OmWgLV
- Lube: https://amzn.to/3q3oN6Z

STEPS:

1. Brush Drivetrain
2. Wipe Off Crud
3. Lube ;)
4. Wipe Excess
5. Wipe Dropper
6. Wipe Rear Shock
7. Wipe Fork Stanchions
8. Give Your Camera Man Some Love (Thank You Adam!)

What do you do to take care of your bike? Let me know in the comments below!
