How to Repair a Wetsuit

Today we’re going to learn how to repair a hole in wetsuit. Wetsuits are handy tools, but when they have a hole, they can let in cold water and make for pretty stressful surf session. And that’s no fun!

STEP 1: To begin, apply a thin layer of neoprene cement (link to product) to each side of the tear. Once it is completely covered, let it sit for 5 minutes.

STEP 2: Once the 5 minutes is done, re-apply just like you did before to inside of the tear. This time set the alarm for 10 minutes

STEP 4: When the 10 min is up, hold both sides of the seams and press firmly against it to make sure you get a good bond.

STEP 5: Allow at least 24 hours of drying time before using the suit.

STEP 6: Get out there and surf!
